Highlights of the Tour

Start your day with a visit to the breathtaking Tahune Airwalk, where you’ll find yourself walking among the treetops, suspended high above the forest floor. Marvel at panoramic views of the Huon River and the surrounding wilderness as you wander through the canopy, taking in the sounds and sights of the ancient Tasmanian forest. The Airwalk offers a unique perspective, with tranquil scenery and an exhilarating experience for those seeking a close connection to nature.

After soaking in the treetop vistas, continue your journey to the Hastings Caves, a spectacular subterranean world of stalactites, stalagmites, and shimmering underground chambers. Explore the majestic Newdegate Cave, one of the largest dolomite caves in Australia, with its striking formations and cool, mysterious atmosphere. If you are wishing to explore further the Hastings Platypus Walk awaits, it is a 10 minute circuit on which (if you are lucky) you may catch a glimpse of an elusive platypus. The cave tour admission also includes complimentary access to the thermal pool area. There are BBQ facilities onsite if you wish to cook some lunch, you are welcome to hire an eski for the journey to transport food.
